Streaming Itunes music via the net

Being a creative person working with graphics on a daily basic i listen to a lot of music.
But like many of you i can't fit my music collection on my iPhone.
I been searching for different solutions, i found a few that kind of worked, but not that good.

The only good one I could find was the "Streamtome" app. Like most apps that are great it cost a few dollars but this app is doing a great job delivering my music from my iMac at home to my iPhone.
The only downside is you have to keep your Mac turned on all the time when you want to listen to music. One cool feature is that this app also have a mac client, meaning not only can you stream to your iPhone but also to another Mac. Thats brilliant!

So how does this work..?
Do I need to be a geek to set it up correctly?

No you don't! All you need to do is to forward ONE port and you are good to go!

Here is the process step by step..

1) Download the free server app in the app store
2) Install the app
3) Start the app (looks like this..)

4) Select the port you want to use for streaming - be sure you forward the port in your router
5) Select if you want your playlists to be shared (and photo if you like!) add a folder to "shared folders"
6) Type in a password, you don't want this baby to be open
7) Go to the app store on your iPhone and purchase the iPhone app "Streamtome"
8) On your iPhone start the app and put in your Ip address or your DNS address and your password
9) You are good to go, you can now enjoy all of your music on the go
10) This also works for movies, but here i'll recommend AIRVIDEO, it's a bit better i think.

Enjoy all your music :)
